The last couple of weeks have been completely hectic- sorting uni things, seeing friends who will be moving away, seeing family and just generally enjoying the summer freedom, so it's no surprise I haven't had time to write a post on here!
One thing that has happened though is that Robin Williams died. I was surprised at how much this one hit me, and the morning that the news was broadcast I felt like I'd lost someone very close to me.
Robin Williams made the hearts of the world laugh with his humour and admire him with his unique talent. He was a true legend in Hollywood and beyond. He played so many extraordinary roles, from Mork in Mork and Mindy
to the voice of Genie in Disney's Aladdin, and from the hilarious Mrs
Doubtfire to Theodore Roosevelt in Night at the Museum, and will never be forgotten.
There have been so many tributes paid to the great man, from fan art to his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame being covered in flowers.
He'd been suffering from depression. As a former sufferer myself, I strongly urge anyone who is feeling this way to seek help. Too many good ones have been taken by this evil illness and awareness of it and the help available needs to be raised.
The NHS has numerous helplines for people to use (here) and I'm willing people to use them, it could change your life for the better.
RIP Robin Williams (1951-2014)
We ain't never had a friend like you.
